Features / Caller ID name and verified calls
Show your business name, not Spam Likely
Customers answer when they recognize the caller. Verify your business once, and Onyx Phone files a caller ID name for each line and signs your calls as verified, so the people you call are less likely to see "Spam Likely".
Caller ID name (CNAM)
Set the name people see when a line calls them, up to 15 characters, like "Smith Plumbing". Onyx Phone files it with the carriers once your business is verified and shows its status. Not every phone or carrier shows caller names, but many do.
Verified calls (STIR/SHAKEN)
US carriers check whether a call really comes from the business that owns the number. After verification, Onyx Phone signs every call from your numbers with the highest level of attestation, including numbers you add or port later. Verified calls are less likely to be labeled as spam or blocked.
Business verification
Verification asks for your legal business name, type, industry, EIN, website, address, and an authorized representative. It's filed with the carriers, and Onyx Phone checks the status for you. An account with several businesses verifies each one, and each line belongs to its own business.
See who's calling you
Turn on caller names for incoming calls and Onyx Phone looks up the registered name of each caller. It's optional because it costs about a cent a call.

Questions
What is CNAM?
Caller ID name: the name shown with your number on phones that display names. Onyx Phone files it for each line after your business is verified.
Why do my business calls show as Spam Likely?
Usually because the number isn't verified, or has been flagged after a lot of calls. Verified calls carry the carriers' highest attestation, which makes spam labels less likely.
Does it cost extra?
Caller ID names and verified calls are included. Showing the names of people who call you is optional, at about a cent a call.
