A business phone for pest control companies

Calls spike when the bugs do: the first warm week brings ants, fall brings mice, and every caller wants someone out this week. Onyx Phone helps a small pest control team answer more of those calls without tying the office to the phone all day.

When the season starts at once

On Business, ring order rings the office first and the route techs next, so a busy morning doesn't send callers to voicemail. Callers nobody reaches get a text back a couple of minutes later, and call analytics on Business shows which weeks and hours need another person on the phones.

Techs on the route, same number

Techs answer and call back on the iPhone and Android apps from the business number, so customers always see your company, not a stranger's cell. Notes on each call keep treatment details and gate codes where the next tech can find them.

Reminders and follow-ups by text

Unlimited two-way texting is on every plan, after US carrier approval.

Into your scheduling software

Through Zapier, missed calls and voicemails can become requests in Jobber or customers in Housecall Pro, with the transcript attached.

Getting started

  1. Create a login and pick a plan. Checkout saves a card for the 7-day free trial, and nothing is charged until it ends.
  2. Confirm your business and its 911 address, and get a local number on the spot. Bringing your own number? You answer on a temporary one while it moves over, for free.
  3. Choose where calls ring, write what callers hear, invite your team, and register for texting. Then answer in the browser, the iPhone and Android apps, or a desk phone. How it works has the details.

Included on every plan

Starter is $17, Business is $29, Scale is $42 per user a month, or less billed yearly. The plan includes a business number for each user and unlimited calling and texting in the US and Canada. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, and moving your current number over is free.

Questions

Can we add people for the busy season?

Yes. Plans are per user, so add teammates when the season starts and remove them when it ends; the bill follows the number of people on the account.

Can techs see only their own branch's calls?

Give each branch its own line and assign techs to the lines they work. They only see the lines they're assigned to.
