Ask Claude about your business phone

Connect Claude to Onyx Phone and ask about your phones in plain words: what customers called about this week, which missed calls nobody returned, or what the Hendersons said in their voicemail. Claude can also add notes and send texts once you say so.

What Claude can do

Things to ask

Connecting

Add Onyx Phone as a custom connector in Claude, using the address on the Integrations page. Claude opens Onyx Phone so an account admin can sign in and choose the account; no keys to copy. It works where your Claude plan allows custom connectors.

Under the hood it's a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server with OAuth sign-in. Developers can read the details on the API page.

Cost and control

The connector is included on every plan. Texts Claude sends are billed like texts sent through the API, $0.01 per segment. Claude only sees the account the admin chose when connecting.

Getting started

  1. Create a login and pick a plan. Checkout saves a card for the 7-day free trial, and nothing is charged until it ends.
  2. Confirm your business and its 911 address, and get a local number on the spot. Bringing your own number? You answer on a temporary one while it moves over, for free.
  3. Choose where calls ring, write what callers hear, invite your team, and register for texting. Then answer in the browser, the iPhone and Android apps, or a desk phone. How it works has the details.

Included on every plan

Starter is $17, Business is $29, Scale is $42 per user a month, or less billed yearly. The plan includes a business number for each user and unlimited calling and texting in the US and Canada. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, and moving your current number over is free.

Questions

Can Claude answer my phone calls?

No. Claude reads and acts on your call history, voicemails, and texts after the fact. Your team answers the calls.

Will Claude send texts without asking?

Claude sends a text when you ask it to. Most Claude apps also ask you to approve each action a connector takes.
