Every Onyx Phone voicemail comes with a written transcript, on every plan. Read it between jobs, have it emailed with the recording attached, and mark it returned so nobody else on the team calls the same customer back.
Transcripts on every voicemail
When a caller leaves a message, Onyx Phone transcribes it with AI speech-to-text and shows the words next to the recording. Very short messages are marked "no speech", so a hang-up at the beep doesn't look like a lead. Transcripts are unlimited for each user on every plan.
Voicemail by email
Save an email address on the line and each new voicemail is sent there, with the recording attached and the transcript in the message. Use a shared inbox like office@ and the whole team sees new messages, even without opening Onyx Phone.
A voicemail inbox for the team
The iPhone and Android apps have a Voicemail tab with the same transcripts, and unread counts show on the menu so a new message never sits unnoticed.
- Filter by line, and by returned or not yet returned.
- Call back from the voicemail in one tap. The call goes out from the business number.
- See every earlier call from the same number, right on the voicemail.
- Delete by mistake? Deleted voicemails can be restored for 30 days.
Your greeting, your words
Write the voicemail greeting and pick a voice for it, or leave it blank for a sensible default. After hours, callers hear your after-hours message first.

Yes, on every plan, with no per-transcript charge for normal use.
Can voicemails go to email?
Yes. Each line can email new voicemails to one address, with the recording attached and the transcript in the message.
Can I send voicemails to my CRM?
Yes, through Zapier: the New Voicemail trigger fires after the transcript is ready, so the words go along with it.
